‘A Hen’s tale’ the story began with the donation of two tiny chicks that needed a home,

so we made them one and ‘Molly’ and ‘Matilda’ were soon part of the SAFE family. Two soon became eight, with more hens joining the throng until ‘Matilda’ was swiftly retired to a lovely farm, when he turned out to be ‘Matty’!! The girls are now in a bigger hen-house which gives them lots of room to run around and even swings to play on (really!). We believe happy hens lay the best eggs which make the best cakes – Irene agrees…
