Water-Based Heritage trails coming soon! At SAFE we are really passionate about our beautiful Bootle canal and its history. We want our local community to join us in celebrating its place in industrial, technical and engineering heritage and what better way than to run water-based trails in our very own motor boat! The good ship ‘Lady Lock of Boltelai’ will soon take to the water to offer people a chance to learn more about the social history of the canal and the crucial part it has played in the development of our town and beyond. These guided boat trips from the Lock & Quay will become a regular feature of the canal-side district’s programme of water-based activities.
